So last night was one of the many Pee Wee Herman Shows at Club Nokia and wowww what a great time. The moment he stepped out on stage you can just feel yourself becoming a kid again. When each of the memorable characters came out on stage you cheered and it brought back such great memories.
Afterwards there was supposed to be a meet and greet with the people who had tickets when it was originally at the Music Box, but instead it turned into a Q&A because when he did the meet and greet the other night it was basically a production line, see him for 3 seconds then next, so he thought this would be better. I was a little upset first because I would of loved to meet him and take a picture but the more I thought about it the Q&A was much more personal and we got to see a different side to Pee Wee. Since the show was in previews he even asked us to tell him some constructive criticism about the show. You can really feel how genuine as a person and artist he is. I got to ask the last question of the night and I asked when “Life During Wartime” (a Todd Solondz movie that he stars in) is coming out. I think he really appreciated the non Pee Wee related question and thanked me for asing it ha. He explained to the audience what the movie was about and said he wasn’t sure on a release yet but he hopes it gets one soon…and finished by asking if he plugged it enough ha.
Many people thanked him for keeping them young and teaching them how to really use their imagination and I could not agree more.
